Franklin County has contracted with EMO/ARCHITECTS, INC. (EMO) to perform multiple task order services for the analysis, design, and implementation of multiple renovations and additions to the Fort Coombs Armory/Convention Center. As part of Task One services for the Fort Coombs Renovations, EMO prepared an Assessment Report which included photos, drawings, diagrams, and narrative necessary to document and explain the number and extent of roof leaks and the related structural and electrical deficiencies. The Report also included recommendations for remediation necessary to address these deficiencies, including budget estimates and schedules. EMO presented this Report and associated Probable Project Cost Judgment to the Franklin County Board of County Commissioners which unanimously approved the Report and Probable Project Cost Judgment and authorized EMO to proceed with the next phase of services, which includes the Construction Documents required to complete the recommended renovations and improvements. EMO is currently completing these services and preparing for future Phase Three services.
