UNIVERSITY OF WEST FLORIDA GOLF COURSE

MASTER PLAN 

Following EMO’s completion of the Athletic Facilities Master Plan in December 2010, UWF engaged EMO to complete a Golf Course Feasibility Study to determine the feasibility of having an on-campus golf course facility.

The UWF Golf Center concept establishes a long-term vision for the physical facilities of UWF’s on-campus golf program. Providing a clear direction for the program’s facilities and establishing a road map to the future, the Golf Course Facilities Feasibility Study identifies key ecological and archeological considerations, and presents a conceptual plan to achieve program goals. The Study concluded that the existence of on-campus golf facilities will attract new students, enhance student life,and improve athletic initiatives to better serve its many constituents—from the men’s and women’s varsity golf teams, to students, faculty and staff, alumni, friends, neighbors and the Pensacola community. Bringing the plan to life in the coming years will require thoughtful and integrated planning, careful design of facilities, development of sustainable financial models, and the commitment of the leadership of the University of West Florida and the community to achieve the vision of a beautiful, functional and memorable Golf Center.
