Big Bend Hospice (BBH) selected EMO to provide Architectural/Engineering services for the new Hospice Family House and Renovations of the existing Dozier Hospice House. The project scope included architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing services for a new 5,575 square foot Family House which will provide additional administration areas, as well as additional family and public gathering areas. The exterior design included traditional exterior brick facades with porches, columns and a shingled roof. EMO also provided
more continuous control of the project; and allowed BBH to be an active team member and approve all critical decisions affecting cost and schedule. Significant BBH operations and security obligations were required to be maintained throughout the construction phase, as the existing Administration building remained open and occupied, and no interruptions to any services within the building were allowed.
