TEXAS A+M TENNIS CENTER

EMO’s award-winning design of this tennis facility includes 12 lighted competition tennis courts, seating for nearly 3,000 spectators, an elevated viewing deck, locker room and training room facilities, coaching offices, a player’s lounge, a 96-seat Patio Club, court side seating for team boosters, and a special adjacent hospitality room. The project won EMO two National Design Awards - the United States Tennis Association’s annual award for the Outstanding Tennis Facility, and the Court of the Year National Design Award presented by Tennis Industry Magazine. “Aggieland,” as it is affectionately known, has hosted many intercollegiate tennis tournaments from USTA events to the NCAA Regionals. In 1999 and 2002, the center hosted the Big 12 Tennis Championships; in 2002 they hosted the NCAA Men’s Tennis Championships; in 2005 they hosted the NCAA Men’s Tennis Championships; and in 2009 they had the honor of hosting the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Championships again. Only a handful of schools have had the honor of hosting these Championships, a premier college sporting event.
